SCHOOL TAX COLLECTION

 

The 2011 Berlin Central School District tax bills will be mailed on or around September 1, 2011.  If you do not receive your tax bill by September 10, 2011, please contact the school tax collector at (518) 733-0158 or taxcollector@berlincentral.org.  You may also visit www.townsoft. com to view or print your bill.  Select *Tax Lookup* on left side of screen, then select *Rensselaer County*, select *Berlin* and then select your search method.  You may search by several options including name, address or tax map number.

 

No penalty is due on payments received or postmarked ON OR BEFORE September 30, 2011.  A 2% penalty will be added to tax payments made on or postmarked between October 1, 2011 and November 1, 2011.  All tax bills must be postmarked on or before November 1, 2011.  After the November 1st deadline, all unpaid tax bills are returned to Rensselaer County Bureau of Real Property Tax Services.  These returned bills are subject to an additional 7% Rensselaer County Penalty.

 

Please note…all returned checks are subject to a processing fee.

 

Taxpayers who require a receipt should return tax bill with receipt box checked.

 

Payment should be made by check or money order payable to:

BCSD Tax Collector and mailed to:  P.O. Box 259, Berlin, NY 12022.

 

Taxes may also be paid in person at:

            Berlin Jr/Sr High School, 17400 State Route 22, Cherry Plain, NY

Please enter the building using the North Doors, proceed straight up hallway to Room 121 (third door on left).

Monday, September 19, 2011 from 4:00 – 6:00 pm

Thursday, September 22, 2011 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm

Wednesday, September 28, 2011 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm
