SUNY Statewide Financial Aid Days

The State University of New York is hosting its ninth annual SUNY Statewide Student Financial Aid Days on Saturday, January 21, 2012 and Saturday, February 11, 2012. They are designed to answer questions and provide assistance regarding the financial aid application, the types of aid available, and the award process.  To be eligible to participate students must register online at www.suny.edu/studentevents or by calling the SUNY Recruitment Response Center at 1-800-342-3811.    For further information, you may also stop by the Guidance Office.

S.A.T. Preparation Course

HVCC offers a SAT Prep Class through their Office of Community & Professional Education. Registration begins January 18 th. This course is designed to prepare students for the Scholastic Aptitude Test (math, verbal and writing sections). The course will teach strategies for problem solving, vocabulary development, reading comprehension, sentence completion, grammar and essay writing skills. Classes begin on February 15 at 6:00 pm. Guidance Office Financial Aid Information Session

The High School Counseling Center will be sponsoring a Financial Aid Information Session on February 9 at 6:00 pm in the High School Library. A representative from Sage College Financial Aid Office will give an overall presentation on the financial aid process. This will include information on how to complete your application for private and state college institutions, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) application, and information on private and federal college loans. There will be staff on hand to answer your questions and concerns. If you have any questions, please call the Guidance Office at 658-2515, extension 206.

 

HVCC College Financial Aid Workshop

Attend a FREE College Financial Aid Workshop. HVCC is offering two free, hands-on workshops to help you understand your family’s financial aid eligibility and how to apply for federal/state aid and scholarships. For those wishing to attend you should pre-register online: www.hvcc.edu/finaid/workshops

Driver's Education

The next Driver’s Ed meeting will be on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 2:15.

Mr. Benkoski will be collecting the money for Driver’s Ed.  The check should be made out to “Berlin Central School District”.
