Re:       Fundraisers/Building Use Forms/Trips

 

            I have been meeting with staff regarding fundraisers, building use forms and field trips. Listed below are the procedures that we all must follow to insure that all of our activities are run smoothly and effectively. All requests for field trips, building use and fundraisers must be submitted to me no later than May 19th.  You may submit requests next year, but I cannot guarantee that their will be transportation money or the space available if needed. Submitting these requests next year needs to be kept to a very small number. It is really important that the teaching staff know of these well in advance so that they can prepare for students missing from their classes. It is great to see so many activities happening for our students here. The class advisors are planning some great family events as our some of our staff. I know how much work goes into planning these and Ed and I are very supportive and grateful for your efforts. You can download the Student Fundraising Form, Building Use Form and Field Trip request form from our Web Page. Some changes are as follows:

 

  1. We cannot have more than one major activity happening in the building at the same time. An example of this would be a night dance and a basketball game.
  2. All fundraisers will run no longer than 2 weeks.
  3. NO field trips will be considered for the High School beyond May 1st unless they are of an educational experience that will not be available in the future, with administrative approval.
  4. All proms will be held on a Saturday with no exceptions. Please begin to book your prom a year in advance at least.
  5. All fundraisers that have not been already approved must be requested 30 days prior to the start of the fundraiser. Fundraisers will not be allowed to run concurrently.
  6. The route for fundraising requests will be as follows:
    1. Submit to Mr. Gable for Student Council approval
    2. Student Council then submits that request to the Principal for approval. Fundraisers will not be allowed if this procedure is not followed.
