THE 2008 SENIOR CLASS YEARBOOK INFORMATION AND CHECKLIST

In September you’ll be asked to submit the following items:

COLOR PORTRAITS due Friday, September 14, 2007.

For the senior class section of the yearbook, we’ll need one formal picture, wallet-sized (2 1/8” wide x 2 ½” long), and one wallet-sized informal picture, (or high quality digital – digital preferred). The places you can go include but are not limited to:

We encourage you to use a truly professional photographer with high-quality equipment.  (Discount store portraits stand out and sometimes cannot even be used because of the lower quality.)  Professional photographers have very busy schedules, especially in the summer, so set up your appointment soon.  If we do not have your pictures on time, it is likely your portraits will not be in the yearbook.

BABY PICTURE due Friday, September 14, 2007

Any size photograph (either color or black-and-white) is acceptable. You will get your picture back in the spring. However, you might want to submit a photograph that, if it did get lost, you could easily live without. Your pictures will not be cut.  Please lightly write your name on the back of the picture.

PROFILE SHEET due Friday, September 28, 2007.  Please submit a complete list of all of the clubs, organizations, and activities that you’ve participated in during grades 9-12. List any special awards, recognitions, and achievements you’ve received during the last four years.

SPECIAL MESSAGES Senior and parent writings are due Friday, September 28, 2007.  Seniors can submit messages of 150 characters (free). There will be a charge of $5 for any messages exceeding the 150 characters. For a small fee of $5, parents can submit a message of 150 characters (There will be an additional charge for messages exceeding 150 characters).  Examples of characters are letters, commas, and spaces.  Inappropriate messages may be edited, and you may be asked to provide legally viable translations of any cryptic messages.

SENIOR SUPERLATIVES Be thinking about senior superlatives (most friendly, best smile, etc.). Voting will take place in October.

YEARBOOK PRICES & ORDERING INFORMATION Yearbooks may be preordered starting in September. We anticipate that prices will be $45.00 per book with additional charges for plastic covers, icons, autograph pages, etc.  Seniors do not have to pay personally for the engraving of their names on the cover.

Yearbooks may be purchased from Ms. Austin (the adviser) by filling out an order form and returning it to the high school with a check or money order made payable to Berlin Jr./Sr. High School. You may reserve a book by paying $25.00 down for each yearbook ordered, and will then pay the balance when the books arrive in the spring. However, you may also pay in full. Yearbooks may also be ordered from the Berlin Jr/Sr High School web page, beginning in September.

If you don’t order a yearbook, it is possible you may purchase one after they’ve been distributed in the spring of 2008; however, the number of books available will be limited and sold on a first come, first served basis. At that time, the price will be $55.00.

Complete this sheet and give to Mrs. Austin by September 28!
