This course is a combination of both structural design and architectural design. It is for the student who is pursuing an education or job in the following fields:

Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Construction/Building Trades or for the future home buyer/owner. |

This course is a pre-requisite for Architectural Drawing. This course is a study of basic residential construction. A series of computer drawings will be established showing details of masonry structures, framing details, door and window details, stair and fireplace details. The utilization of all common construction materials and building techniques will be explored. A series of AutoCAD reference blocks will be established and AutoCAD techniques will be expanded for architectural purposes. |
