September 12th-14th SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR Volunteers staff the fair where students can purchase books.  Our school library receives a percentage of sales in books or cash.

October 2nd – LIFETOUCH SCHOOL PICTURES Student portraits can be purchased and are also used in the BES Yearbook, which is put together by a parent volunteer.

December 4th-7thHOLIDAY GIFT FAIR Inexpensive gifts are available for Christmas shopping by the students.  The PTO purchases gifts from a service, which is sold at cost.  Donated items are bargain priced.

March 15h- FAMILY-A–FAIRE This family fun day includes many activities.  We’ll need lots of parent volunteers, more info to
 

follow.

April 24th – SPRING PICTURES Last year there was an overwhelming positive response to the pictures taken by Lifetouch.  Parent volunteers are needed to guide the classes in the gym for photos.

May 1st – 5th STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK PTO presents tokens of appreciation to all staff.

May/June – FUN DAY Parent volunteers supervise outdoor activity stations set up by PE teacher, Mr. Sauer.

May 16th - BUDGET VOTE Parent volunteers assist Miss Jackie in displaying artwork done by the students throughout the year.

June 9th – STAFF APPRECIATION LUNCHEON Parents provide lunch for the staff.  It is an opportunity to thank the staff for a job well done.

Box Tops:  We collect General Mills BoxTops for Education all year long.  Please send your BoxTops into school (trimmed as neatly as possible).

$chool Bucks (formerly Cash for Class): SAVE YOUR RECEIPTS FROM COLONIE CENTER MALL!! Each dollar spent will equal FIVE points for the school. 

Price Chopper: PC is registering shoppers for its Tools for Schools Program.  Attached is the form to register your AdvantEdge Card or register online at www.pricechopper.com/toolsforschools (School Code is 15708).  If you registered last year, you do not need to fill out a new application.  Last year we were able to provide a screen for presentations as well as a CD/DVD player for each classroom with the points earned by our families.

Target: Target’s ‘Take Charge of Education Program’ allows Target Visa and Guest Card holders to designate Berlin Elementary to receive a donation.  Our school ID# is 75453.

Country Value Food Co-op: They will be distributing an order form each month.
